Solitary

I wish i would stand on a shore,
Alone, only sea resounding around,
Alone, with my distress and sore,
Alone, standing in sand abound.

Maybe catch a sound of distant birdsing,
Soft and stifled in my ear,
Reminds me of all that i am missing,
My friends, all those that are dear.

Maybe catch a glimpse of shining stars,
As the light of sun fades away,
Hiding from eye all those scars.
Maybe catch a touch of breeze astray,
That blows into a sail somewhat sparse.
Solitary ship, my sorrow to portray.
